So this poor defenseless TV will no more serve to the betterment of mankind. My Dad was very attached to this TV for sentimental value, as it was very cheap. Five years ago it was on Craigslist for a hundred bucks, in what I have recently been informed, was a very bad deal. The way my Dad tells it, he was fortunate to identify the exact time in the market when everyone was offloading their old but very good TVs for flatscreens. My Dad has given it five years of a wonderful life, and very optimistically sent it off to the recycling deport with the original remote and instruction booklet taped to it. He would also prefer that I mention here that it had a combo VCR/DVD, as a testament to its many desirable qualities. Unfortunately, none of my Dad's lengthy reminiscences about this TV actually include watching it.
